Facing a federal charge is a serious situation. Anyone who has been charged in a federal court should seek the advice of a legal professional experienced in defending against federal prosecutors. These types of crimes can carry heavy penalties, including fines and incarceration, so it is important to create as vigorous a defense against the charges as possible.
Three men are facing federal charges stemming from at least one bank robbery. Federal agents received a tip from a confidential informant that the three men, aged 63, 59 and 56, were planning to stage a bank robbery and that they had allegedly committed previous robberies. Agents put the men under surveillance and believe they observed the men scout possible robbery locations.
A SWAT team was in place when the men arrived at the intended bank robbery location on Dec. 31, and the men were apprehended about a block from the latest robbery location. Allegedly, a weapon and money were recovered from the vehicle. The men were arrested and charged with armed robbery. They are also suspected of committing bank robberies in Northeast Washington, Arlington County, Vienna and Rockville.
The three men are facing serious charges, so a good criminal defense is necessary. Anyone who finds themselves facing what could equate to a long incarceration should seek advice from a Maryland legal professional. All defendants have a right to represent their side of the story in a court of law, and an experienced legal representative is the best option to portray both the defendant and the situation that resulted in the charges in the best light possible.
