John P. Valente, III

John specializes in the fields of medical malpractice and personal injury, although he has extensive experience in handling family law and general civil litigation matters. John has successfully handled numerous, complex medical malpractice, wrongful death and survival actions cases, resulting in numerous multi-million dollar awards for our clients. In fact, John recently obtained one of the largest medical malpractice verdicts in the history of Southern Maryland. John also recently obtained a 3.5 million dollar verdict for our client who was a victim of medical negligence. This verdict was the largest verdict ever obtained in Calvert county history. John also handles an abundance of personal injury claims stemming from auto accidents, explosions, fires and slip and falls. John is a Court appointed mediator for personal injury and medical malpractice claims. Prior to joining our firm, John clerked for the Honorable Richard H. Southorn of the Circuit Court for Prince George's County, Maryland. John is a member of the Prince George's County Bar Association, American Trial Lawyers Association, Federal Tort Claims and Maryland Trial Lawyers Association. John litigates cases in the State at Federal Courts for Maryland, District of Columbia and Virginia. He also handles medical malpractice claims throughout the country.
